NZ Post Username and Password for exclusive use with a ShipStation account
NZ Post requires a unique username not associated with any other Third-Party Shipping Platform.
When you signed up with NZ Post, you may have also registered for a shipping platform. You cannot use the same username you have already with any other shipping platform in ShipStation.
You must create a second, brand-new username with NZ Post and have it linked to our client_id. Once you have done that, you can connect to our platform with those new credentials.
To create a new username specific to ShipStation, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with this text:
“Hello! May I please have a username configured for Parcel Label usage on the ShipStation
client_id for my account number of [enter your account number here]. Thank you!”
Please contact ShipStation support if NZ Post requests the ShipStation Client ID.
To connect your NZ Post Domestic account to ShipStation:
Click the Add a Carrier Account button.
Select the NZ Post (CourierPost) tile and click Connect.
Enter your NZ Post Username, Account Number, and Site Code, then choose an Account Nickname for you to identify the carrier account in ShipStation.
Disable any NZ Post services you do not plan to use.
Once you have connected your account to ShipStation, NZ Post will send a list of ALL available services back to ShipStation, regardless of your contract availability.
Please disable any service that you do not plan to use. To enable or disable services in ShipStation, go to

How to troubleshoot or resolve
New Zealand does not have state designations and instead uses greater City/Town areas to categorise. To successfully create a label for a Domestic Shipment, the Town + PostCode combination must match.
