Edit Services & Package Types

Explains how to change available services and how to enable package types by carrier.

Once you've connected your provider, you'll be able to choose from their available services and package types when you configure shipping options for your orders. 

For most carriers, ShipStation enables all available services and package types by default. However, you can enable and disable these so you or your staff can only select the services and package types you actually use. 

Australia Post Services

You cannot manually edit Australia Post services in ShipStation. Instead, ShipStation will retrieve your approved services directly from the Australia Post API.

If you make a change to the services available in your Australia Post account, do the following to update the services in ShipStation: Go to Settings > Shipping > Carriers & Fulfillment and click Settings on your Australia Post account in ShipStation. Then click the Update Shipping Services button.

Change Available Services

The number of selected services will appear in the Carriers & Fulfillments screen, and only the selected services will appear in the Services drop-down menu when you configure your shipping options. 

Notes about Enabling or Disabling Services

  • If a service does not appear in the Services list in the Carriers & Fulfillment settings, that service is not currently supported in ShipStation.

  • Australia Post services not approved for your AU Post account will not work, even if you enable them in the ShipStation Shipping Options list as described above. Instead, click Settings for Australia Post in the Carriers & Fulfillment Settings, and click the Update Shipping Services button. ShipStation will automatically enable your approved services.

Enable and Disable Package Types

Going forward, only the selected package types will appear in the Packages drop-down menu when you configure your shipping options.

Notes About Editing Package Types

  • If a package type does not appear in the Packages list, that package type is not currently supported in ShipStation.
