Some carriers require shipping manifests that list all shipments for that carrier each day. Different carriers refer to this list using different terms: shipment manifest, SCAN form, Order Summary, End of Day form. "End of Day" is the term ShipStation uses to refer to each of these because they are typically closed and transmitted or printed at the end of the day.
ShipStation provides the ability to close shipments for certain carriers and print the carrier's manifest, which can then be handed to the carrier's driver and scanned.
Different carriers have different manifest requirements, and not all carriers require you to manifest your shipments.
In some cases, you must close and print the forms each day. In others, ShipStation submits the shipping data electronically. When submitted electronically, some carriers will send a PDF to ShipStation you can print out if necessary, but others will not.

When a carrier requires you to close and/or print this form, in most cases you can do so directly in ShipStation.
The End of Day report is available both at your workstation or from your mobile device. Follow the steps below based on which platform you intend to use.
Click End of Day in the left-hand sidebar.
The Open section will show by default, and it will display an Open Shipments count for the selected day.
Click on the Close Shipments link corresponding to the carrier when you are ready to close the shipments for the day.
A new window will appear where you can select (or deselect) the shipments for your SCAN form.
Once the forms are closed, click either Print Form or Print All (if you have closed multiple forms).
If you only want to close shipments for one of your Ship From Locations, click the all Ship From Locations drop-down at the top. From there, you'll be able to close a particular Ship From Location's shipments. Click Close Selected when you're ready.
As soon as you have closed a set of shipments you'll see a Print Form link.
Click Print Form and select the printer from the Print pop-up window.
If necessary, you can reprint a closed form at anytime.
To reprint a previously created form:
Click on the Closed section of the End of Day screen.
Select the form(s) you wish to print.
Use filters to help you locate the specific forms by date, Ship From Location, or Carrier.
Click the Print Selected button.
You can then print via ShipStation Connect or download the form to print through your preferred PDF viewer.
Using the ShipStation Mobile app, you'll be able to generate the barcode and have it scanned right from your phone screen. No need for toner, paper, a printer, or even a computer. You can even produce it in line at the post office!

Click on End of Day from the sidebar.
Select the carrier whose shipments you want to close out. Click Yes when
Select the Ship From Location you want to pull up.
Click Yes when prompted.
To view the barcode, tap View for Scanning. Alternatively, you can Print the barcode.
Some carriers do not require a physical End of Day manifest because it is all done electronically through ShipStation!
When you print UPS labels through ShipStation, there is no need to provide an End of Day report to your UPS driver. Likewise, you do not need to manually send UPS a Package Level Detail (PLD). ShipStation does this automatically.
All shipment information is sent to UPS (through their API) when each label is created. The bottom right-hand corner of each UPS label includes a package icon which indicates that the package has been pre-scanned. Drivers are not required to scan each package individually.
If your driver wants you to provide an End of Day form, or your UPS rep wants to review your PLD file, just let them know that ShipStation is a Certified UPS Partner and sends this information directly to UPS using their API.
If you would like to have a physical copy of the day's shipments, though, produce this by heading to
Insights > Reports > Shipping Manifest. This manifest is not scannable, but you can use it to verify that you are sending out the correct packages.
