No, not as soon as they are placed. When the automatic import option is enabled on your store, ShipStation makes periodic calls to the selling channel to request orders. This option is enabled by default for all stores, and can be found in each store's Store Settings tab.
The interval between these requests is based on an algorithm and is determined by a number of factors including the volume of orders imported from the store. At this time, automatic imports cannot be scheduled or customized.
You can also manually initiate order imports any time you like by clicking the import button in your ShipStation toolbar.
Yes. ShipStation automatically sends a shipment notification to your selling channel as soon as you create the label. This notification includes the order number, shipping service, and tracking number. Marketplace notification behavior can be adjusted so the notification goes later (for example, when the package hits the mail stream) in each store's Notifications settings.
Additionally, you can disable marketplace notifications on a per order basis if necessary.
Yes. To do this, ShipStation must first enable one of your ShipStation custom fields to accept this information from Shopify. Please contact ShipStation Support to enable this feature.
Once enabled, the Shopify Fraud assessment will import into the chosen custom field on each order.
You can use this information to filter orders or use it as criteria in automation rules to tag the order or put it on hold for further review.
ShipStation's Age column comes in handy when sorting your Awaiting Shipment orders for fulfillment. You can sort by ascending order to display the newest orders first or descending value to view the oldest orders first

The order age represents a different value depending on the status of the order.
If your orders are in Awaiting Shipment, then the order age is the difference between the Paid Date & Time and the Current Date &Time. For example, if the paid date is 9/16/2018 10 PM, and the current time is 9/17/2018 10 AM, then the Order Age is 12h.
Once an order is Shipped the order age is a static value based on the difference between the Ship Date & Time and Date Paid & Time. For example, if an order imported with a paid date of 9/17/2018 10 AM and it was shipped on 9/17/2018 at 12 PM, the order age would be 2h.
