Connection Requirements:
-
An active account with Square
-
Your Square login username and password
Square's connection tile is not available in ShipStation Legacy.
If you can’t see the store connection tile when you search for Square, it’s most likely because you are in ShipStation Legacy. You may only connect Square in the current version of ShipStation, so this is a good time to upgrade or at least try it out.
If you do move back to Legacy, your Square store will still work just fine. The store connection and tile visibility are the only things affected. Everything else about the integration should work the same in both versions.
Order Import Requirements:
-
The order cannot be a Pick Up order from Square. These orders will not import into ShipStation and must instead be marked as picked up in Square.
To connect your Square store to ShipStation:
-
Select the Square tile.
-
Click Connect.
-
Log in to your Square account to authorize access for ShipStation.
After you've completed the connection steps, your store will be connected to ShipStation. You'll be taken to the store's Settings page to adjust the store-specific settings like branding, notification preferences, and product handling.
-
Pickup Orders from Square do not import into ShipStation currently. You must mark such orders as picked up in Square.
-
Square Online Stores will only accept a single shipment notification from ShipStation.
This means, if you split orders into multiple shipments, ShipStation will only send the tracking/fulfilment details to Square for the final shipment on the order.
-
Only a single Square store can be connected to a ShipStation account.
