Shippie offers same- and next-day delivery services in the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding cities. ShipStation's integration with Shippie allows you to create labels for both same- and next-day shipments, as well as multi-package shipments and return labels!

Shippie Integration Requirements

Connection Requirements:

  • A ShipStation account based in Canada

  • An active account with Shippie

  • Your Shippie Account ID and API Key

Connect a Shippie Account to ShipStation

To connect your Shippie account to ShipStation:

🇺🇸 🇨🇦 Your Carriers Add-On

For US- and Canada-based ShipStation accounts, certain plans will require you to enable the Your Carriers add-on before you can connect your carrier accounts. If you have not yet enabled it, you'll be prompted to do so before you can connect your accounts.

  1. Log in to your Shippie account dashboard, and go to the Integrations tab.

  2. Click the Add Integration button, then select ShipStation from the available list of integrations.

  3. Take note of your Shippie Account ID and API Key in the pop-up window. You will need to enter these values in ShipStation.

    If you do not have an API Key yet, click the Generate Keys button.

  4. Open a new browser tab and go to ShipStation.

  5. Click the Add Carrier button.

  6. Select Shippie and click Connect.

  7. Enter your Shippie Account ID and API Key, then click Connect.

    You will see a success message that reads, "Shipping carrier added." Next, add your ShipStation API credentials to your Shippie account.

  8. Take note of your ShipStation API Key and API Secret.

    Click Generate New API Keys if no key and secret are listed yet.

  9. Return to your Shippie account dashboard.

  10. Enter your ShipStation API Key and API Secret in the pop-up window, then click the Save keys button.

    You will see a notification that your keys have been successfully saved.

    You can now create Shippie labels through ShipStation!

The carrier can be used to create domestic shipping labels.

The carrier can be used to create international shipping labels.

ShipStation will submit international customs declarations electronically to the carrier.

The carrier can be used to create domestic return labels.

ShipStation will display estimated shipping rates for the carrier based on the connected account information and shipment details.

Shipment insurance, provided by the shipment's selected carrier, can be added to the shipment in ShipStation. This insurance would be in addition to any default coverage already provided by that carrier.

Shipping labels created for this carrier will include a tracking number that can be used to view the shipment status on the carrier's tracking website. Tracking may not be available for all shipping services.

ShipStation can close the day's shipments for the carrier and submit the manifest electronically. The End of Day process may be mandatory or optional, based on the carrier and your account with them. A printable file may or may not be available when submitted electronically - see End of Day (PDF).

This carrier can be used to create multi-package shipments, where multiple labels are created for a single shipment and the individual packages are linked together in a single shipment record with a master tracking number.

You can connect this carrier to ShipStation multiple times using different accounts and choose which account will be used to create each shipment.

Shippie Integration Notes

  • You can create End of Day forms, or shipment manifests, for your Shippie shipments through ShipStation, but they are not required. Shippie manifests all packages automatically when they are scanned at time of pickup.

  • Because Shippie requires a full address for a rate quote, ShipStation's Rate Calculator cannot be used to display Shippie rates. However, you can use the Rate Calculator within the order to preview and compare rates.

  • The ShipStation integration with Shippie does not support third-party billing.
