Due to closures of rail lines and major roads caused by extreme weather and flooding in Western Australia, Australia Post Parcel Post (eParcel) and StarTrack Road Express deliveries are currently delayed.
Effective 28 November 2022, Australia Post has implemented a replacement WA Emergency Service to ensure delivery of these shipments. This option includes an additional emergency fee of 40% (excluding GST) of the freight charges established in your agreement with Australia Post to accommodate the rising transportation costs into and out of Western Australia.
The WA Emergency Service fee will not be included in your rates in ShipStation. Australia Post will invoice the fee according to your account agreement.
The WA Emergency Service option does not apply to Australia Post MyPost Business customers, and no fees are added to Express Post and StarTrack Premium services.
